We weren’t sure what to write this time.  So I wanted to share a story that I shared with my husband.  I remember when I was a child and every time I wanted to donate something my mom would say “I want to check your bags!” She knew that I would take anything we had, that I felt we didn’t use often enough in order to help somebody that needed it more.

Then, when I moved to the U.S. I had a lot of things that I couldn’t take with me. It was the first time that I had a large amount of donations so I split them among several organizations.

Now after getting married and moving to the U.S. we started what seemed like such a small idea and has now become so big. In what is now only our second year shipping a box of donations back to Guatemala for Christmas we have already received so much unbelievable support. So much support we are going to ship a second box in January!

So now it is not my mother asking to see my bags but my husband asking to check the boxes!

We really want to take the time and thank everyone who has made this possible because without your kind hearts, support and donations this would not have been possible!
