Guatemala earthquake relief & Christmas boxes #19 and 20 11/2012

On Wednesday the 7th. an 7.2 earthquake struck some towns in Guatemala. Retalhuleu, Quetzaltenango, Solola, Quiche, Totonicapan, San Marcos and Huehuetenango have been officially declared in a state of emergency. The news said that they had found approximately 60 dead, and almost the same amount of people are still missing. At this time what they need the most are warm clothes, blankets and canned/freeze dried food.

To provide at least a small amount of help we are currently gathering donations to ship a box to Guatemala in the coming weeks.

The shipping company, ships every Tuesday and Thursday. If possible I would like to ship a box filled with canned/freeze dried food and warm clothes on Thursday 15, which means it would have to be ready on Wed. the 14th. Each box costs $185 to ship, so any financial help would also be welcome but please remember we are not a charity and cannot offer any tax incentives for this. We just do this because we want to help.

Pictures of the places where the donations had been hanged out.
